• "Freshet"

Freshet is sired by Highfields Winter Weather (10 pts - Specialty major, Champion producer) out of Vankrol's Tin Lizzy (half sister to Ch Vankrol's Grand Horizon and Highfields Wayward Wind - pts). She was bred by Linda Vanderlaan and Elizabeth Rines and is owned by my dear friend Javier Cespedes - new to Shelties but not to show dogs having bred and shown group winning Llasa's in the past. She is a litter sister to my "Tempest" (Highfields Tropical Winds) as well as Vankrol Midnight Blue, who is pointed.

Freshet is a lovely, moderate 15 1/4" blue merle bitch. In her first weekend out she won a Sweepstakes class of 5 handled by Javier. The following weekend she won "Best Puppy" and a Puppy Group fourth handled by Kathy Dziegiel. She has a nice outline, a sweet feminine expression and moves beautifully. We have great hopes for her future.

 Freshet was bred to BISS Ch Icon Drops of Jupiter "Jove" in January and on March 23, 2008 whelped a beautiful litter of four puppies: 2 blue merle girls, a tri girl and a tri boy. Freshet is a wonderful mom and the puppies are fat and healthy. So far they all appear to have inherited their dads exquisite head. To see pictures of this litter Click on the link below:
