It is with great sorrow that I report that on 4/1/2011 Badger went to the Rainbow Bridge after a brief  but debilitating illness. Badger was very special to me as I was to him. He bravely faced the challenges of his final illness and trusted me to help him, which I did as best I could. He is now in a "better place"

Rest well my special boy. You are loved and missed and certainly not forgotton.

Badger is a nice moving, moderate 15 3/4" blue merle with correct head planes and stop, a beautiful outline and untouched, natural ears.  I have recently added some pictures (at the bottom of the page) that give credibility to these claims.

Badger started his show career by going Winners dog at the SSC of SouthEast Florida Specialty  for 4 points. Many thanks to Gina Grosso for her always expert presentation, and Judge Rick Thompson for this exciting win, which is shown at the bottom of this page. In limited showing  Badger has 10 points. Due to personal circumstances,  Badger was retired from the show ring before he could finish.

Badger is currently the sire of  two Champions and three others with points, which are listed below.  He does still have several other promising show prospects waiting in the wings for their time to be shown. These however are the last of his offspring as he had to have emergency surgery in October 2009 to remove a Calcium Oxalate stone that was totally obstructing his urethra and preventing any urine from passing. To remove the stone he had to be neutered.

We are very proud of Badgers' two sons out of Vankrols Showcase Signature, a Ch Golden Hylites the Phantom daughter:

CH Vankrols Grand Horizon (Sky)   ...  owned by Bob Henry and co-breeder Linda Vanderlaan and finished at age 2 with three majors.

And Badgers daughter out of JusDandy My Fair Lady:

CH JusDandy Twila Devine (Twila)    ...     owned by Claudia Frank of JusDandy Shelties and Border Collies and co-bred by  JoAnne Killeen and Claudia Frank.. Twila is OFA Excellent and finished her Championship with two 5 point Specialty majors!. She can be seen on my Puppy page along with the rest of her multi talented littermates. She is the Dam of two Champions so far, which can be seen on my puppy page.

Not to be outdone by Twila's accomplishments are her littermates in the performance venues (listed alphabetically by call name):

CT Lochinvar Night Moves CD, RN  (Seger ) ...  one of only 4 tracking Champions in the history of the breed. He was also the 35th TDX in breed history. These amazing feats were accomplished by the hard work, love and determination of his owner, Linda Baschnagel of Smithville, Mo

MACH JusDandy Category Three  OF  (Trey)  ...  a star in the Agility Ring - owned, loved  and trained by Charles and Melody Magin of Westminster, Md

UACH, UCDX JusDandy Will O the Wisp  CDX, MX, MXJ, MXF, RE, HSAs  (Whisper) ...  This multitalented boy is owned, loved and trained by his co-breeder, JoAnne Killeen of Tampa, Fl. He needs one more QQ to finish his MACH, which will make this a four Champion litter.
